The Internet has changed our lives forever, it affects the way we communicate, work and are entertained. No longer just a
way to send email, the Web provides a way to find information on an endless collection of businesses, services and
activities.
In 1995, with a long professional background in the computer industry and a love for travel, the environment, diving and underwater photography, I launched one of, if not the first, on-line magazines dedicated to the world of remote diving adventures. The magazine had focused on travel stories and photography in conjunction with the many assignments I received from dive travel publications including Rodales and Asian Diver. In 1999, Lynn Jaye joined the team and is now our assistant editor and underwater photographer. She is also an accomplished artist, best known for her landscapes and is now also creatingabstract paintings based on her underwater experiences (see www.lynnjaye.com). She has recently been commissioned to do her first above/below ocean painting of the coral formations and whales breaching at Puako, near Kona in Hawaii. Now in our 14th year of operation, ON-THE-EDGE Magazine continues its original focus to deliver visually-rich adventure stories and photography from around the world. Our sister publication, MyScubaGuide.com, provides detailed dive and destination guides for some of the world's top locations. I look forward to an ever-expanding opportunity to bring to you the best travel information the dive industry and the world has to offer. Sincerely yours, Robert Aston, Editor-in-Chief |
